Description: This demo uses air track carts to compare the velocities of two carts launched in separate directions from the same starting position.
Equipment:
- Air track
- Spring Apart Carts Kit
Setup:
- Set up the air track and prepare the sensor gates to measure velocity
- Alight two carts at the center of the track
Demonstration:
- With the sensor gates turned on, launch the centered carts
- Compare the two velocities
- Repeat with varied masses to observe the relationship between velocities
