Description: Use a commercial sling psychrometer to determine relative humidity.
Two thermometers, one with a wet wick, are mounted on a device swung around the head.
Equipment:
- Sling Psychrometer
- Cup of water
Demonstration Procedure:
- Wet the wick on the end of the sling psychrometer
- Spin the psychrometer while firmly holding the base for 10-20 seconds
- not the temperature difference between the two thermometers
Caution: This apparatus contains mercury. Do not break it.
