Description: This demo uses a pair of magnets wrapped in velcro to simulate the dynamic between the weak and strong nuclear forces.

Equipment: [ H128-A4 ]

• Pair of velcro magnets
• Document camera

Setup Procedure:

1. Position two Velcro magnets underneath the document camera
2. Make sure the document camera is connected to the room display

Demonstration Procedure:

1. Lay both magnets under the document camera approximately 10cm apart. Push one magnet slowly towards the other, and note that they repel each other
2. Once again lay the magnets out about 10cm apart. This time push one towards the other quickly, and note the fact that they impact each other, and are able to stick together thanks to the Velcro on the magnets.
