**Description:**

Test Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Law using resistors in series and parallel. Plot V and I and get a linear slope equal to R.

**Equipment List:**

- Component Board, F4
- Voltage probe leads, F1
- Interface (550 or 850), F5
- Banana plug patch cord 2ft x 2
- Banana plug patch cord 1ft x 4

**Set up Procedure:**

Begin by connecting the component board to universal interface using banana plug cords.

Remainder of cords to be connected by students doing lab.

**Concept:**

In series circuits, the current flowing through both resistors is the same and the effective resistance is the sum of the resistances. In parallel circuits, the voltage across each resistor is the same and the inverse of the effective resistance is equal to the sum of the inverses of the individual resistors.
